Baccarat Game Rules
The object of the game of Baccarat is to obtain a hand where
the total points are closest to 9. An ace counts as one; 2
through 9 as their face value; tens and picture cards count
as zero.
If the value of the hand is ten points or more, subtract
ten, and the remainder is the baccarat point value of the
hand. For example: 8+6=14 gives 4 and 2+8=10 is therefore
0
Bets can be placed on either the banker hand or on the player
hand and/or on a tie situation. The player and the banker
are then each dealt a two-card hand. In certain cases, a third
card is dealt to the player or the banker or both see, Third
Card Baccarat Rules below.
The player closest to 9, wins.
If you bet on the player and the player wins the payout is
2:1.
If you bet on the banker and the banker wins, the payout
is 2:1 minus 5% bank commission.
If both the player hand and the banker hand are equal then
the game result is a tie. If you placed a tie bet the payout
is 9 to 1.
Third Card Rules
The following baccarat game rule chart governs when the player
or the banker will automatically be dealt a third card in
the hand:
Players Bacarrat Hand
If the players hand has a total value of 0 to 5 then the player
must draw another card.
Bankers Bacarrat Hand
If the total bankers hand is 3 the banker must draw when
the players 3rd card is 0 to 7 or 9 but does not draw when
the players 3rd card is 8.
If the bankers hand is 4 then the banker must draw when the
players 3rd card is 2 to 7 but does not draw when the players
3rd card is 0, 1, 8, or 9.
If the total bankers hand is 5 then the banker must draw
when the players 3rd card is 4 to 7 but does not draw when
the players 3rd card is 0 to 3, 8 or 9.
If the total bankers hand is 6 then the banker must draw
when the players 3rd card is 6 or 7 but does not draw when
the players 3rd card is 0 to 5, 8 or 9.
If the total bankers hand is 7 or 8 then he stands.
